"All the showcased solutions reflect our No Waste vision and mark the outstanding progress we have made on our ESG journey. From pioneering recyclable packaging and advancing circular economy initiatives through ReCover, to empowering our teams and promoting sustainability in our operations and culture, we are driving meaningful change for our industry and our partners," says Coveris CEO Christian Kolarik.

Realising the circular economy in practice

As part of its focus on increasing recycling and material recovery, Coveris will present several closed-loop, recyclable and recycled packaging innovations. Among the key highlights is SleeveFlexR Stretch, an advanced sustainable sleeve solution integrating 35%, 50%, or 75% recycled content. Positioned as a cost-effective alternative to shrink sleeves, it is manufactured using high-quality recyclates sourced from our in-house ReCover de-inking and recycling facility, reinforcing a true closed-loop model.

Also featured is FilmLiteR Stretch, a fully recyclable pallet transportation film with over 30% recycled content. Designed for optimal load stability and product protection in the beverage sector, it ensures safe transport and long-term storage. Notably, FilmLiteR Stretch is produced using 100% renewable energy, and its heatless application process further minimises carbon emissions, supporting a reduced environmental footprint

Innovative, sustainable alternatives for food markets

In the food sector, Coveris’ BarrierFresh MAP tray solution for meat, fish and poultry (MFP) reduces plastic content by 90% while maintaining both recyclability and shelf-life. Combining sustainably sourced board with a specially developed EVOH barrier film, the solution delivers a fully printable, hermetically sealed, single-SKU pack that maintains product integrity and recyclability for the MFP category.

Also being showcased is MonoFlexBP, a complete solution including thermoformable base web combined with a resealable lidding film for meat and cheese packaging. With a high oxygen barrier and PET/PA-free composition, it offers excellent product protection and can be resealed on PP trays multiple times – delivering consumer convenience without compromising sustainability. Another highlight is Coveris' Ultra-Low SIT (sealing initiation temperature) CPP lamination films, a CPP solution designed for high-speed FFS packaging across food, pet food, home, and body care products. Offering optimised sealing strength at 85°C, it supports recyclability, delivers excellent sealing strength, and mechanical properties. The solution is available in both transparent and white, with thickness ranging from 30 to 100 μm.

Visitors at FachPack 2025 will also discover MonoFlexFibre Pure Max, a monomaterial paper-based packaging substrate for cereal, protein and chocolate bars and tablets. Despite being composed of a single layer of paper, it ensures high visual impact, robust barrier properties, and full recyclability within existing paper streams.

Integrated security packaging for end-to-end supply chain protection

This year Coveris will also present the industry-leading SourceTag range, which now includes both labels and cartons. This tamper-evident solution integrates covert security directly at the print source, streamlining operations by eliminating the need for in-store tagging or removal. Compatible with existing retail infrastructure, SourceTag delivers discreet protection, simplifies inventory management, and supports complete supply chain security from source to store. With three adaptable technologies, SourceTag enhances both operational efficiency and product protection across the entire retail journey
