Chelsea Davis, Chilled & Produce Account Manager in Coveris’ Paper Business Unit, is revealed as a Rising Star 2022 by the Printing Charity. Recognising the best young talent in the British print industry, Chelsea has received a Rising Star Award in leadership and management to support her career development.
We spoke to Chelsea to learn more about her experience as a Rising Star.
How does it feel to be a Printing Charity Rising Star and what are your plans for the funding?
It has been an honour to be recognised for this award; as a result of winning I will be putting the funding towards three British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) courses:
- BPIF Introduction to Print
- BPIF Negotiation and Persuasion
- BPIF Introduction to Team Leading
How will this support your career?
This will help with my career progression and I really would like to start laying the foundations for my future career and how that looks within the print industry. I looked into different courses and the BPIF short courses seemed to be the perfect first step for my progression. The courses cover a multitude of areas which will be invaluable for my future in sales management. These courses will help sculpt my future within the print industry by furthering my knowledge, skills and behaviours to improve my performance.

You recently attended the Printing Charity Rising Star Awards. What was that like?
The award ceremony was at The House of Lords; it was such an incredible experience and I was given my award by Guy Black, Baron Black of Brentwood. It was great to be surrounded by so many like-minded young people who have the same passion and enthusiasm as I do. It was also so good to meet one of the judges who had made the decision to give me the award, Jacky Sidebottom-Every (pictured with Chelsea), who is a Packaging Consultant. I was really inspired by Jacky’s story and benefited greatly when we met as it was a true industry insight.
