An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join our Production team based at Coveris UK’s Wisbech site. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate looking to develop their career and join a progressive business working on a double day shift.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Complete all related paperwork and input data onto the ERP system accurately
  • Ensure forklift trucks and equipment are maintained to a ‘new like standard’ - raising any Engineering T Cards when necessary
  • To come forward with ideas and work with the Site team to continually improve the cell and process where required
  • Have the experience and knowledge of the cell to provide support and training to any new starters or personnel – as and when required
  • Ensure all standard SOP’s are adhered too
  • Unload Raw materials lorries and receipt onto the system via PO’s also check versus delivery notes for accuracy
  • Ensure all raw materials / finished goods are stored in dry condition inclusive of outers
  • Report to the Site Material controller any discrepancies on raw material deliveries inclusive of internal shunts
  • Produce barcodes for each reel/pallet that enters our warehouse
  • Issue materials to and from warehouses/presses accurately in line with material flow inclusive of return to stock
  • Ensure correct quantity of raw materials is inside the building for acclimatisation based on material flow process
  • Ensure finished goods are booked onto the system with 100% accuracy, wrapped and processed to the warehouse via loading onto internal shunts
  • Ensure any cabs or direct deliveries to customers are met in full
  • Any other duties required to meet the prevailing needs of the business

Candidate specification

  • Willingness to multi- skill and be flexible based on the needs and demand of the business
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • A desire to continually improve
  • Travel may be required therefore current, clean driving licence an advantage
  • High level of numeracy and accuracy skills
  • Valid forklift licence (Stand on Stacker and PPT) is desirable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages 
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of ERP system would be desirable
